Guidehouse invites you to join your fellow public health professionals for a Town Hall-style Focus Group at the 2024 Preparedness Summit to explore what can be done to ensure local health authorities are optimally equipped prior to an emergency when considering relationships with organizations not typically thought of as playing a response role, including financial organizations, non-profits, and local foundations.
About the Town Hall:
The public health system acts as a response agency in times of emergencies when local health officials are faced with unique responsibilities preparing for and responding to disasters, especially for disproportionately affected populations (e.g., older adults, people with disabilities). During this session, attendees will hear from experts about their experiences, as well as participate in breakout sessions designed to draw from their collective experiences. Participants will be equipped to identify actions to convene partners in their jurisdictions to support building more resilient communities.
