Join the PPHR National Review Team

Apr 05, 2024 | Beth Hess

NACCHO’s Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) seeks applicants to join its national review team. These skilled volunteers assess whether applications meet the PPHR criteria and provide robust feedback to applicants to further enhance preparedness planning and response. As subject matter experts in the field, national reviewers ensure the integrity and fairness of the PPHR review process.

Don’t Miss this Opportunity to:

  • Interact with other professionals in your field.
  • Learn about innovative practices in local public health preparedness from across the country.
  • Help to advance the local public health preparedness community.

Reviewer Time Commitment

  • A one-hour, online orientation and training webinar and an online training assessment.
  • An independent review of 2-3 applications over a six-week span beginning in September.
  • Four conference calls with your review team to discuss applications.
  • One mandatory in-person meeting around mid-October. NACCHO will cover appropriate travel, accommodations, and meals for this meeting.

About PPHR

Project Public Health Ready is a criteria-based training and recognition program NACCHO and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) created to help local health departments develop core public health and emergency preparedness competencies.
