On April 27, the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee held a hearing to discuss the Fiscal Year 2023 Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Budget. HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra testified and fielded questions from members of the subcommittee.
This year's theme for World Hand Hygiene Day on May 5 is focused on recognizing that we can add to a facility's climate or culture of safety and quality through cleaning our hands but also that a strong quality and safety culture will encourage people to clean hands at the right times and with the right products.
NACCHO will award up to $60,000 for a consultant, or consulting firm, to assist NACCHO with conducting a workforce assessment to evaluate LHD staff capacity related to healthcare-associated infections (HAI) and antimicrobial resistance (AR). The selected consultant will create assessment tools, conduct data collection and analysis, and develop a final report with results.
