    Providing lactation services in 20 rural counties in KS

    LAACT Action provides prenatal breastfeeding education and lactation consultations for mothers throughout 20 counties in Central & Western Kansas with no cost sharing. Through a 3 year grant awarded by the Kansas Health Foundation, this project provides much needed assistance to mothers in rural settings with otherwise limited access to local support or lactation services.

    The Marion County Health Department in Oregon's Willamette Valley is working to improve the health of rural communities and decrease obesity and obesity-related diseases through a Healthy Corner Stores Initiative.
