Franklin County Public Health developed a set of local environmental public health indicators to track trends in the health effects of climate-related conditions. These indicators will allow them to better incorporate climate-related conditions in their public health planning efforts.
Franklin County Public Health, Kent County Health Department, and Minneapolis Health Department received funding and technical assistance from national organizations to advance their efforts to reduce lead exposure and its effects through a HiAP approach.
Suffolk County (NY) mentored Franklin County (OH)’s new tick surveillance program as part of NACCHO’s Vector Control Collaborative. COVID-19 travel restrictions did not stop the expansion of tick species, nor did they stop this virtual mentorship. FaceTime tick dragging is a socially-distanced and low-cost way to receive technical assistance for field work.
