Engaging with Centers for Independent Living

NACCHO conducted one-on-one facilitated focus groups and learning sessions, as well as a virtual community of practice meeting with local health departments (LHDs) to understand what LHDs know about CILs. These working sessions resulted in action plans outlining how health departments and CILs can better work together to develop reciprocal partnerships.

Explore the resources developed by this project including a Partnership Guide for Centers for Independent Living and State and Local Health Departments, success stories from two LHDs, an Action Plan template, Meeting Facilitation Guide, Catalyst Canvas Tool and other partner planning resources.
