This 2016 NACCHO and Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) joint report, conducted on behalf of the Radiation Injury Treatment Network (RITN), describes the extent that state and local level preparedness coordinators are aware of and involved with radiation preparedness activities in their communities. It also summarizes the current radiation preparedness capabilities these jurisdictions possess and describes their existing familiarity with RITN and National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) activities, exercises, and resources.
