This tool is a three-page Word document created by NACCHO. The document provides an example of Twitter Guidelines drafted for an association. This is a living document at NACCHO and it will change over time as the organization's familiarity and relationship with social media grows. The Word format will allow LHDs and other partners to edit the document easily for their own purposes. This document may not contain all necessary information for the use of social media at your organization, however, it does contain information on several common Twitter terms, including: URL Shorteners Hashtags Mentions Retweeting The document is intended to serve as an example of some of the items that organizations may want to consider as they begin using Twitter.
