The Maternal and Child Health Life Course Research Network (MCH LCRN) is an exciting new project that represents a unique opportunity to improve our understanding of how health develops over the life course by providing researchers, practitioners, policymakers and consumers with a transdisciplinary, translational and transformative mechanism for interacting, sharing information and tools, and engaging in collaborative and innovative projects. These projects will be initiated and led by network members with support from the administrative core at UCLA, with the goal of advancing the field of life course health development research and enabling evidence-based practice and policymaking at the family, local, state, national and international levels. Local jurisdictions implementing Health in All Policies (HiAP) in their jurisdictions will find this Network useful for learning about and communicating across sectors about the importance of using policy to improve health outcomes.
