The Mercer County Climate Change Action Committee is a group of county emergency responders and community planning partners who strive to identify the public health impact of severe weather events and the adaptation strategies necessary to reduce these impacts. The purpose of the Mercer County Climate Adaptation Plan is to identify the target groups affected, analyze risk factors, identify impacts, prioritize impacts, develop strategies, and address barriers. This plan will specifically address severe weather events associated with climate change. Input for the plan was gained from community focus groups, interviews, and analysis of resources available.
