The Miami-Dade County Monthly HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report was released in December 2007 and was developed by the Miami-Dade County Health Department. The Monthly HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report consists of an overview of cumulative AIDS cases and cumulative HIV infecions, all broken down by sex, race/ethnicity, and exposure category. This epidemiologic profile is compiled and updated monthly, and can be used as a guide for local health departments wishing to compile a similar monthly review of their HIV/AIDS epidemic.
