The Spokane Regional Health District Disease Prevention and Reponse Division developed the following protocol to guide their use of social media profiles to contact original patientsand/or notify partners of possible exposure to HIV, STDs, and other communicable diseases/infections. The use of social media forcase investigationactivities provides an additional medium to contact partners or original patients as needed.
