The Community Health Worker Role on the HIV Care Continuum fact sheet offers a definition of community health worker (CHW), lists other titles by which CHWs are referred, describes how CHWs enhance HIV care teams, and identifies CHW roles and how they can be performed across the HIV care continuum. Boston University Center for Innovation in Social Work and Health developed this resource as part of its Secretary’s Minority AIDS Initiative Fund-funded and HRSA HAB-administered Improving Access to Care: Using Community Health Workers to Improve Linkage and Retention in HIV Care project.
