The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has expanded the FoodKeeper App to include food recall alerts. Local health officials and their community members can now use this app to receive alerts on food recalls as they occur, daily, or weekly. The FoodKeeper app also has includes features such as food storage timelines, cooking tips, virtual assistant for users to inquire about preventing foodborne illness, and safe food handling and storage.
