Apr 06, 2018 | Kim Rodgers

The Clinician Consultation Center, a component of the AIDS Education and Training Centers Program, has launched HEPline, a clinical consultation network for hepatitis C management. Public health and healthcare professionals in need of support can call or submit an online request for clinician-to-clinician advice on hepatitis C mono-infection and co-infection management. In response, the Center will provide expert advice on everything from testing to treatment. In particular, you can receive consultation for topics including:

  • HCV staging & monitoring
  • Regimen selection & dosing
  • Drug interactions
  • HIV/HCV management strategies
  • Prior HCV treatment failure, including management of complex clinical problems such as cirrhosis and renal disease
  • HCV transmission & prevention
  • HCV screening & diagnostic testing
  • HCV in special populations (pregnancy, co-occurring substance use and/or alcohol use disorders, psychiatric disorders, post-transplant, ESRD/dialysis, pediatrics)

Clinicians are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. Voicemail and online case submission are available 24 hours a day. Questions are answered as immediately as possible, and most are responded to within two hours.Learn more!
