Introducing NACCHO’s New Training Course: Introduction to the ICAR Process

The National Association of County and City Health Officials is pleased to announce a new on-demand training opportunity on NACCHO University: Introduction to the Infection Control Assessment and Response (ICAR) Process.

ICAR consultations are a critical tool for identifying infection prevention and control gaps in healthcare facilities. This course provides participants with the skills to plan, conduct, and follow up on ICARs—ensuring facilities can strengthen practices to protect both patients and staff.

Participants who would benefit from this course are staff working at local health departments, and healthcare facilities, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and dialysis centers.
