Join NACCHO’s Flexible Local Epidemiology for X-factor Emerging Diseases Learning Community

Jan 14, 2026 | Jaclyn Abramson

NACCHO is excited to open the Flexible Local Epidemiology for X-factor Emerging Diseases (FLEXED) Learning Community to all NACCHO members.

Launched in July 2025, FLEXED began as a pilot learning community designed to strengthen local health department (LHD) epidemiology capacity and support response to emerging and ongoing infectious disease threats. Through peer learning, webinars, and applied resources, the first FLEXED cohort helped shape a growing body of tools and shared practices grounded in real-world public health work.

As FLEXED enters 2026, the Learning Community is expanding into an open, ongoing space for NACCHO members to connect, learn, and share. Beginning in February 2026, FLEXED will offer a new series of webinars, peer learning hours, and resources, while continuing to provide access to all 2025 recordings, tools, and discussions.

Why Join FLEXED?

The FLEXED Learning Community is an open, interactive space for NACCHO members looking to strengthen local epidemiology practice and infectious disease response capacity.
