Voting on Change Requests for Updated MAHC Starts Soon!
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) MAHC is maintained and updated in partnership with the Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC). Last week, the CMAHC held their virtual Vote on The Code conference to present and discuss this year’s change requests (CR). Over 500 CRs were presented for consideration to update the MAHC. These were vetted through CMAHC’s Technical Review Committee and around 140 CRs were formally presented to the CMAHC membership for discussion. Voting to approve/reject all CRs will be open from November 13 through December 14. Accepted changes to the MAHC will be presented in the 4th Edition, due out in June/July 2021. For more information, visit the CMAHC’s webpage.
