NACCHO Accepting Public Comments from Local Health Departments - Developing the National Public Health Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Vector-Borne Diseases in Humans

May 26, 2021

Request for Information (RFI): Developing the National Public Health Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Vector-Borne Diseases in Humans

This RFI, ending at midnight (EDT) on June 11, 2021, seeks public input on strengthening and improving the nation’s response to vector-borne diseases in a number of areas including identifying top priorities related to vector-borne diseases in the United States during the next five years, and recommendations on specific research or programmatic efforts to improve surveillance, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of vector-borne diseases, among others. Any information received will inform the development of the National Strategy to address vector-borne diseases.

NACCHO is currently working to incorporate comments on behalf of local health departments and we strongly encourage our members to reach out and share their comments at vectorcontrol@naccho.org for consideration by Friday, June 4, 2021.
