The searchable Congenital Syphilis and Perinatal HIV Compendium was launched by NACCHO, in conjunction with the CDC, and cross-promoted by NASTAD and NCSD to facilitate peer-to-peer learning and to create a repository of congenital syphilis and perinatal HIV interventions implemented across the United States.
As of July 2023, the Compendium contains 58 intervention entries and an analysis of the submitted entries found many traditional interventions, such as disease investigation and ensuring recommended syphilis and HIV testing throughout pregnancy, as well as a few relatively new or enhanced entries. Across all interventions submitted, four emerging themes were discovered including 1) Screening and Treatment; 2) Education, Awareness, and Resources; 3) Surveillance and Epidemiology; and 4) DIS work, Partner Services, and Case Management. To find a breakdown of these entries with unique interventions highlighted for each theme, view the summary here.If you have questions, email [email protected].
