The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a final rule to extend the compliance dates for updating the Nutrition Facts and Supplemental Facts labels. For manufacturers with $10 million or more in annual food sales, the new compliance dates is January 1, 2020. Manufacturers with less than $10 million in annual food sales have until January 2021. The extension reflects FDA’s recognition for the need for manufacturers to have additional time to make the required changes. Learn more here.
