The U.S. Food & Drug Administration, along with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and state and local partners are investigating a multi-state outbreak of Cyclospora infections potentially linked to ALDI, Hy-Vee, and Jewel-Osco grocery store brand “garden salads” containing iceberg lettuce, red cabbage, and carrots. This applies only to the store brand salads labeled as “garden salads,” and not for other types of store brand packaged salads sold at these retailers. On June 22, ALDI voluntarily recalled Little Salad Bar Garden Salad due to possible Cyclospora Infection.
