In October 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Climate and Health Program (CHP) developed regional fact sheets on the health impacts of climate change. This is based on information from the recently released document on “Preparing for the Regional Health Impacts of Climate Change in the United States.”
As climate exposures and socio-demographic characteristics differ by region, understanding the unique vulnerabilities is an important step for mitigating and addressing health effects of climate change. Each fact sheet overviews the region-specific impacts of climate change, and features programs supported by the CHP that address these impacts.
These fact sheets are downloadable in NACCHO’s online Climate Change Toolkit. To access the fact sheets, go to NACCHO’s Toolbox, and refine by: ‘Climate Change Toolkit’.
Find these resources featured on NACCHO’s Climate Change webpage, as well as in the Climate Change Toolkit in NACCHO’s online Toolbox.
