Request for Proposals: Local Infection Prevention and Control Summit Meeting Planning

Oct 16, 2023 | Irene Halferty

NACCHO is proud to be a partner of CDC’s Project Firstline, a collaborative that aims to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in healthcare settings through providing innovative and accessible infection control education for all frontline healthcare workers to improve infection prevention and control (IPC) practices. Project Firstline’s educational materials are offered in various forms, including video and social media graphics, interactive resources, print materials and job aids, and training toolkits. Topics range from antimicrobial resistance to infection control actions for specific threats, like influenza, RSV, and COVID-19. The focus of NACCHO’s Project Firstline work is to build the capacity of local health departments (LHDs) to deliver training and education to healthcare facility partners in their community by developing and promoting tools and resources related to IPC.

To support these efforts, NACCHO is pleased to offer a funding opportunity for a skilled meeting facilitator for a large in-person 2-3-day meeting in Spring 2024. This meeting will bring together LHD representatives seeking to improve coordination for state and local IPC response and practices in healthcare settings.
