The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) Disability and Health Branch funds state disability and health programs to improve the health and quality of life among people with mobility limitations and/or intellectual disabilities. By adapting and implementing evidence-based strategies in their communities, state disability and health programs ensure that individuals with disabilities are included in ongoing state disease prevention, health promotion, and emergency response activities.
