A new report from the National Academy for State Health Policy, State Strategies to Improve Childhood Lead Screening and Treatment Services under Medicaid and CHIP, “details the potential health impacts of lead toxicity in children and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements for screening and treatment under Medicaid and CHIP. It also explores several state approaches to improve both lead screening rates and treatment of lead toxicity in children.”
