As health departments pivot to work on COVID-19 response, there is a need to consider how to prioritize the work that is traditionally done within the more limited time that can be devoted to it. HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau has announced five notices of funding opportunity (NOFOs) that will focus on HIV stigma reduction, implementing rapid antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation, and improving care and treatment for Black women with HIV. All five NOFOs are supported by the Minority HIV/AIDS Fund.
Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) has released new guidance for sexual health clinics on reducing in-person visits. The guidance identifies priority populations for HIV/STI screening visits, suggests the use of telemedicine for contacts of STI cases, and recommends treatments based on patients’ screening results or symptoms.
