With support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NACCHO is pleased to offer a funding opportunity for the Equipping Local Health Departments to Build COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence project that will support LHDs to improve COVID-19 vaccine confidence and address misinformation at the community level in partnership with local trusted community messengers.
CDC will now allow up to 15% of awarded funding through its flagship health department HIV prevention program PS18-1802 to be used to support PrEP ancillary services.
On December 14, 2021, NACCHO and partners celebrated the one-year anniversary of the first COVID-19 vaccine being administered outside of a clinical trial. This also marked the beginning of the national vaccination campaign.
