Today, CDC released its October 2019 Vital Signs Report, & Burden and Prevention of Influenza and Pertussis Among U.S. Pregnant Women and Infants. This report includes the latest findings on influenza and Tdap (whooping cough) vaccination rates among pregnant women.
During January 1–October 1, 2019, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported more cases of measles since 1992, and the second highest number of reported outbreaks annually since measles elimination was declared in 2000. Measles is an acute febrile rash illness with an attack rate of approximately 90% in susceptible household contacts.
