COVID-19 has had a profound impact on our society beyond the physical toll on those infected with the virus. It has also caused restriction of resources for non-COVID conditions, economic upheaval, and interrupted care on chronic conditions.
Less than 15% of adults with disabilities meet the recommended 150 minutes each week of physical activity. With COVID-19 posing challenges to options such as fitness and recreation centers, this blog will provide guidance on how local health departments can promote physical activity for people with disabilities during the pandemic.
