As the voice of the nearly 3,000 local health departments (LHDs) across the country, the National Association of County and City Health Officials’ (NACCHO) portfolio consists of a breadth of projects in which racial health equity is an aim of program planning and implementation across public health domains.
NACCHO, with support from the CDC’s Division of STD Prevention, is pleased to announce two new funding opportunities for health departments to partner with other healthcare entities to expand STI and HIV services, treatment, and care in their communities.
NACCHO is pleased to offer a funding opportunity for a skilled facilitator to aid the six Overdose Response Strategy sites in strategic planning related to developing and expanding public health and public safety partnerships and effectively engaging people with lived experience, and project implementation and sustainability through both in-person and virtual meetings.
The purpose of this funding opportunity is to identify one provider to design, establish, manage, and assess the efficacy of a national training and technical assistance coordination center to support the sustainability capacity of approximately 15 grantee-coalitions/partnership who participated in the Year 1 Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) - Getting Further Faster (GFF) initiative.
With support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NACCHO is pleased to offer a funding opportunity for the Equipping Local Health Departments to Build COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence project that will support LHDs to improve COVID-19 vaccine confidence and address misinformation at the community level in partnership with local trusted community messengers.
