NACCHO is pleased to announce two new funding opportunities to decrease syphilis via community engagement. Both opportunities focus on engaging community members to develop, or tailor, a plan to decrease syphilis burden in the local community.
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) represents nearly 3,000 local health departments (LHDs) across the United States.
NACCHO is seeking a qualified consultant to develop a new training curriculum that NACCHO will use to provide new local health officials (defined as having served less than two years in their position) with the knowledge, skills, abilities, tools, and networks to successfully lead progressive and innovative health departments.

NACCHO is offering a scholarship opportunity for local health department staff obtaining certification in infection control (CIC) or a-IPC (Associate – Infection Prevention and Control) entry-level certification. The deadline to submit an application is the end of the day on Friday, January 27.
