NACCHO awarded $454,053 in funding to pilot harm reduction outreach initiatives through academic detailing, a method providing one-on-one education to clinicians and other key messengers.
LHDs across the nation actively work to eliminate TB through surveillance, case detection, and essential services. Challenges persist, but collaborative efforts and dedicated individuals like Xuan Man highlight the crucial role of LHDs in the fight against TB.

The Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health team has selected 14 new local health departments as demonstration sites for the Improving the Health of Young Children: Expanding Vaccination Coverage through Partnerships with Early Care and Education (ECE) Programs initiative, as part of the COVID-ECE portfolio.
