NACCHO, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Reproductive Health, recently launched its 2023-2024 Virtual Learning Collaborative (VLC) for the Inclusion of Maternal-Child Health (MCH) Populations in Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR).
The funding, totaling $1.3 million, will support local health departments with training clinical and non-clinical healthcare facility staff on infection prevention and control best practices.
The Alzheimer’s Association and NACCHO have announced the third cohort of the Healthy Brain Initiative (HBI) Road Map Strategists. This nationwide effort focuses on addressing dementia at the local level, and the Road Map Strategist program increases the capacity of local health departments and tribal health organizations to address brain health in their communities.
Through this project, NACCHO worked with three public health organizations to implement and evaluate Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) for HRSU in STI clinics.
