World TB Day is recognized annually on March 24 to mark the discovery of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (TB). This annual event serves to raise awareness of TB, educate the public about its impact worldwide, and highlight opportunities to combat the disease.
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), representing the country’s nearly 3,000 local health departments, has awarded almost $360,000 in funding to six sites as part of the Harm Reduction and Academic Detailing project. Each site will receive up to $60,000.
With support from CDC, NACCHO is seeking a consultant, or consulting firm, to support the creation of stock photos and videos depicting LHDs doing work in healthcare settings.
