NACCHO, in collaboration with the Center for Public Health Innovation at CI International (CPHI) and through funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 's Division of Reproductive Health, conducted three focus groups with 28 MCH staff from LHDs across the nation to learn about their experiences supporting pregnant and postpartum people amid this global pandemic.

NACCHO is launching the Congenital Syphilis Community of Practice (CoP), to engage health department staff in collaborative learning and knowledge-sharing activities that enhance their capacity to implement or scale-up interventions to address CS and syphilis among individuals of child-bearing capacity.
In partnership with the CDC’s Division of STD Prevention (DSTDP), NACCHO will provide up to 5 local health departments with $15,000-$75,000 each for a demonstration project to conduct routine, opt-out syphilis screening of women and other individuals of childbearing capacity housed in local jails.
