The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the voice of the country’s over 3,300 local health departments, will hold the 2024 Preparedness Summit from March 25-28, 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Local health departments (LHDs) are critical in responding to public health emergencies. These institutions formed the backbone of the COVID-19 response and have also responded to infectious disease threats such as Zika, influenza outbreaks, congenital syphilis, and RSV.
With Board of Directors' support, the National Association of County and City Health Officials’ Chief Executive Officer, Lori Tremmel Freeman, named Chris Paquet as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer in the Office of the CEO. Paquet will be joining NACCHO's Executive Team and Leadership Council.
