This screening form and screening algorithm can be used to determine the medication to dispense during an anthrax emergency. The forms have been tested for accuracy and speed and can be used for a when the ratio of total MCMs received in your jurisdiction is 50:50 doxycline to ciprofloxacin. Disclaimer: The current data collection form must be updated to reflect current changes to the EUI regarding weight and any other changes made. Once updated they may need to update the chart as well to reflect any changes in the EUI and to the data collection form. Our algorithm is based on the Chicago MSA 50/50 algorithm but differs in that Kendall and Grundy Counties send all pregnant women with a contraindication to Cipro for medical consult. Any changes they make to the algorithm would require changes to the chart.
