This article, which appeared in the 2010 March-April issue of the Journal of American Pharmacists Association, explores how colleges and schools of pharmacy can prepare pharmacy students for roles in emergency preparedness. The paper also identifies ways that community pharmacists can develop their knowledge and skills in emergency preparedness. The authors encourage partnership with local public health and emergency response. This article can be used as evidence that supports public health/pharmacy partnerships.
