The Montgomery County, Maryland Advanced Practice Center, in collaboration with the Institute for Systems Research at the University of Maryland, have developed a Clinic Planning Model Generato. The software is intended to grant public health officials the ability to quickly create an accurate model that will provide immediate assistance with planning for a pubic health vaccination and/or dispensing clinic. It can be used either in the advance planning stages or for support during an actual event. In general this computer model is designed to assist in planning a clinic with improved efficiency and performancy while enlightening the planners on what to expect in the event of an outbreak. The computer model operates entirely in the Microsoft Excel environment, so some familiarity with this package is helpful. A zip file of all the materials and more information about the project are available at the link above.
