This document describes the mechanism for a disaster behavioral health response in Cabarrus County, North Carolina and is intended to ensure a coordinated, efficient, and effective response to the behavioral health needs of persons impacted by a disaster. The scope of this plan includes disasters and/or other emergencies, whether natural or human-caused, which will benefit from a behavioral health response. Cabarrus Health Alliance is the coordinating agency for such response, but is not a traditional provider of behavioral health care. Thus, Cardinal Innovations Healthcare will serve as the primary agency for coordination of service provision.
