These tools were designed to support a second-visit antibiotic and vaccine point of dispensing (POD) model where patients would receive their follow-up 50-day course of antibiotics and first dose of anthrax vaccine. The expanded screening algorithm and electronic patient tracking database are intended to enhance patient safety and reduce adverse events. These tools were presented during the Learning Session "The Next Frontier in Post Exposure Prophylaxis" at the 2015 NACCHO Preparedness Summit.
