Inventory management system. Based on CDCs Medical Countermeasure Situational Report form and used during the H1N1 pandemic, this weekly survey tracked supplies that LHDs and hospitals had in stock or had already distributed. Requests from the state were made after perceived shortages were verified with LHDs and hospitals. The practice required a Survey Monkey account, and an Americorp intern coordinated data collection. Data collection was a central component of the practice. This tool was identified through NACCHOs Resource Portfolio Project on the CDC Public Health Preparedness Capabilities. Through this project, NACCHO worked with the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) to identify, research, and validate tools, practices, and products that can assist LHDs to address challenges in meeting select PHEP capabilities.
