This article appeared in the 2003 Nov-Dec issue of the Journal of American Pharmacists Association. The article shows findings from a survey that assessed the opinions of pharmacist-members as to the appropriate level of involvement in emergency preparedness and response. Five hundred eighteen American Pharmacists Association Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management were surveyed. Respondents to the survey indicated that pharmacists should have a high level of involvement in emergency preparedness and response activities.
