The purpose of the Recovery Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG) is to: Provide Chickahominy Health District personnel with a framework to support public health recovery in the aftermath of a disaster. Describe how Emergency Support Function (ESF) 8 (Public Health and Medical Services) integrates into ESF 14 (Long-term Community Recovery & Mitigation) in Charles City, Goochland, Hanover, and New Kent Counties. Ensure that essential public health and medical functions are restored in the recovery phase of a large-scale emergency or disaster.
