Coconino County Public Health Services District (CCPHSD) has completed a public health and healthcare sector threat and risk assessment utilizing best practices from the Department of Homeland Security's Threats and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) and the UCLA Hazard Risk Assessment Instrument (HRAI). To ensure alignment with state and federal public health preparedness initiatives, this analysis was performed using the Public Health Preparedness Capabilities published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in March 2011, and the Healthcare Preparedness Capabilities from the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) in January 2012.
