This report, from the Department of Justice, provides a review of available resources and studies on dating violence among high school and middle school youth.Theeffectiveness ofidentified prevention programs is also explored. Analyzing bothquantitative and qualitative literature, the report highlights important risk factors and predictorsofteen dating violence and abuse. Local health departments play a key role in eliminating major risk factors at the community level, promoting protective factors, and advocating for an immediate and appropriate responsethrough the legal system.
