The purpose of this annex is to provide a complementary document further outlining the roles and responsibilities held by TCHD as part of the recovery process following any incident impacting Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, and Elbert Counties and the City of Aurora. TCHD, serving as the local public health department for these jurisdictions (and solely in the role of emergency preparedness and response for Elbert County) may be requested to serve as the Recovery Support Function (RSF) #8 Lead by the local office of emergency management as outlined within jurisdictional specific recovery plans. This annexwill further detail the operationalization of the health and medical portion of the recovery process and serve to create a comprehensive RSF #8 system. This document will describe TCHDs capacity or method for response to the RSF #8 component of any event or incident as requested by the affected jurisdiction(s). If impacted by the actual incident, TCHD will utilize their internal Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan to ensure the delivery of Mission Essential Functions during response and recovery operations.
