THE TWIN CITIES METRO ADVANCED PRACTICE CENTER Emergency Handbook for Food Service Managers The Twin Cities Metro APC developed training materials for Environmental Health Professionals that address environmental health emergency preparedness and include tools and resources for preparedness that can be used by public health departments nationwide. The Twin Cities Metro APC recently released its Emergency Handbook for Food Service Managers. The Emergency Handbook contains the following: 1. Emergency Handbook for Food Managers – a quick reference handbook that provides step-by-step emergency information on natural, accidental, and deliberate emergencies. It includes a self-inspection checklist for food security with tips for managing long-term emergencies. 2. Emergency Readiness for Food Workers – photo lessons with a companion Discussion Guide for Food Managers mirrors the topics in the handbook but is geared for staff training. The photo lessons are also a guide for workers in an actual emergency. To access the PDF versions of these resources, please click on the links below.
