#AskTheHIVDoc Video Series

Mar 07, 2018 | Kim Rodgers

Greater Than AIDS hosts an #AskTheHIVDoc YouTube series featuring healthcare providers giving frank, no-nonsense answers to commonly asked questions about HIV. Topics covered include personal risk, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and other prevention tools. In recognition of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Dr. Charlene Flash, an HIV specialist and primary care doctor based in Houston answers questions that focus on women but offer useful information for anyone.

In a series of short, engaging FAQ-style videos, Dr. Flash provides the latest about HIV risk, prevention, testing, and treatment. With her easy to understand, direct style, she empowers viewers to make informed decisions and advocate about their sexual health care needs.

She also answers commonly-asked questions about PrEP, the HIV prevention pill, such as: “How effective is PrEP?,” “Does it work differently for women?” and “What’s involved with going on PrEP?”

Check out Dr. Flash’s videos and be sure to view the rest of the #AskTheHIVDoc series.
